The Town

Originally a silver mining town on the east side of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains, Park City has transformed itself into the best of Utah Ski Towns, as a home for three world-class ski resorts – Deer Valley, Park City Mountain Resort, and Canyons. Downtown Park City blends the old with the new – restored historic mining buildings (64 in town and on nearby hillsides are on the National Historic Register) are home to hip clothing shops, contemporary art galleries and more than 100 outstanding restaurants and local watering holes where old west often meets Hollywood type glam. Park City hosts arts and cultural events throughout year, and sporting events as it did the 2002 Winter Olympics, and is only 35 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, making it an easily reachable year-round destination by air.
