1Buy Online and Buy Ahead – The absolute worst thing a budget-conscious skier can do is buy lift tickets at the window. Virtually all of the major Colorado resorts offer real discounts to anyone who buys online and even better Ski Deals to those who buy at least a week in advance. Failing to take advantage of these buy-early deals is like throwing money away.
2Buy Multiple Days – Know the resorts you want to ski and do your homework on what multi-day discounts they offer. For instance, at Arapahoe Basin lift tickets can be under $60 if you purchase multiple days a week in advance. At Aspen/Snowmass, if you purchase at least two days of skiing in advance you save ten percent.

3Buy Tickets with Ski Days at Partner Resorts – Many ski resorts now have lift ticket offers that include free or discounted ski days at other resorts. For instance, last season’s “Four by 40” offer gave you two days at Winter Park (regular price $89 a day) and two days at Steamboat (regular price $96 daily) for $230 — $150 off the regular prices. Beside the savings, it’s a great way to ski somewhere new.
4Consider a Smaller Resort – While skiing at Aspen or Steamboat is wonderful, if budget is a concern, it pays to know Colorado’s hidden gems, resorts where adults can ski for up to 30% less. For instance, there’s a lot to love at Loveland, only 53-miles from Denver, including last year’s $59 regular-season lift ticket price. 5Find Where Kids Ski Free Longer – Most resorts won’t charge to take the kids on the lifts until they’re five years old. But some resorts do more. At Aspen and Snowmass, they don’t charge for lift tickets for kids under 7. That gives your little nippers two extra years of skiing free compared with Vail and most resorts. At Steamboat, they offer tweens (under the age of 13) a free pass with each parent who buys a pass for five days or more. Arapahoe offers a $25 deal to those who stick to the bunny hill, regardless of age. At Echo Mountain, kids between 6-12 ski for $35.
6Buy a Season Pass – If you’re an avid skier, likely to spend more than a week each season on the slopes, you need a pass. Season passes can save hundreds of dollars if you pick the right one. CLICK on the LINKS below for a complete list.
